Boarding

Horse boarding is currently available. The stables located nearest the Merkel family home are closely supervised and are used for private boarding. The monthly full care boarding fee is $600/month and includes:

• Two large turnout fields

• Large matted stalls

• Stalls cleaned daily

• Use of all facilities

• Top quality feed and hay twice daily

Merkel Farm also provides horse care and training as follows:

• Training (1 hr) $40

• Lunging $30

• Grooming (curry, brush, pick hooves, comb mane/tail) $10

• Clipping (bridle, path, muzzle, fetlocks, and ears) $20

• Body Clipping $225

• Pulling mane $20

• Cleaning sheath $30

• Blanket changing $35 a month

• Bathe $30

• Daily wound care $10/day

• Holding horse for vet/farrier $10 to $20 depending on the service rendered
